Kari Hartmann

Kari is a board-certified physician assistant. She attended the College of St. Benedict in central Minnesota, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Natural Science with biology and chemistry focus as well as a minor in Psychology. She worked in a subacute rehabilitation center, and later a level one trauma center learning necessary skills and training under the surgical staff.

She then moved to Miami, FL, to attend graduate school at Barry University. Clinical education included orthopedics, emergency medicine, family practice, pediatrics, dermatology, surgery, and more. She completed her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2004.

Kari relocated to Houston and spent more than ten years at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She then transitioned to private practice. Her clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient care, endocrinology, surgical oncology, women’s health, weight loss, and general internal medicine.

She is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She has been a professional bodybuilder in the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) since 2013. Her other athletic endeavors include completing three marathons, one ultramarathon, and participating in multiple triathlons, Tough Mudders, and other obstacle course races.
